Legal Education Course
We offer an eight week 3 hour education course aimed at community workers. The course aims to give them an understanding of the legal issues likely to be faced by there clients and inform them of where to go for help. Topics include; the NZ legal system, consumer rights, family law, domestic violence, wills, rights, criminal justice, tenancy, employment and welfare . Community Law Education Seminars
Community Law Canterbury plans seminars aimed at meeting particular community legal needs. Recent seminar series have focused on the legal needs of those with intellectual disabilities and mental health issues and the needs of voluntary sector organisations. Seminars are also held to provide community legal education on areas of law reform.
